About me

Born and raised on the shores of Lake Como, Carlo Maria Tettamanzi has always been guided by wind and water. His love for sailing began at the age of 12, during a first voyage on the lake that would chart the course of a lifetime. From that moment on, he dedicated all his time to mastering the art of navigation, attending sailing courses, competing in international regattas, and even serving as a sailor in the Italian Air Force sports division.

Over the years, Carlo’s career took him across the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and the North Atlantic, working aboard both sailing and motor yachts, including a 100-foot warship converted into a private vintage vessel. Holding a license to command ships over 30 meters, his expertise is rooted in both tradition and technical mastery.

After years of ocean journeys, he returned home to create Bellagio Sailing, a project where elegance meets experience. The fleet includes classic sailboats, where time slows and the breeze sets the rhythm, and a 1960s wooden motorboat for a swift and stylish escape. Departing from Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, or Menaggio, each private tour reveals the lake’s hidden beauty: timeless villas, storybook villages, and breathtaking views.
